COLORS

DON'T LIE

Premium matcha has a vivid, grassy, and almost electric green color. If it's dull or yellow, it's old or low quality.

Things Worth Knowing

What makes us different from grocery store matcha?

Grocery matcha is typically made from older leaves, harvested later in the season, and ground coarser. Switch Matcha uses spring harvest ceremonial-grade leaves shade-grown in Japan, resulting in a brighter colour, smoother taste, and cleaner energy.

What does "ceremonial grade" actually mean?

It means it's the highest quality traditionally used in Japanese ceremony. But honestly, there's no governing body defining or enforcing the term, so any brand can put it on their label. What actually matters is harvest timing, growing region, and processing method.

How much caffeine does matcha have compared to coffee?

One serving of matcha has 30–50mg of caffeine, which is about half a cup of coffee. The difference is L-theanine, an amino acid in matcha that moderates caffeine absorption, giving you calm, sustained focus instead of a spike and crash.

How should I store my matcha and how long does it last?

Keep it sealed, away from light, heat, and moisture. No need to refrigerate. Once opened, use within 4–6 weeks for peak flavour and colour.

Where do you ship and how long does it take?

We ship across Canada. Orders arrive within 3–5 business days depending on your province. Free shipping is available on all orders.
